About the Artist.

Stacey Maree is an Australian self-taught artist from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. She creates whimsical worlds that explore delicate forms of flora and fauna, inspired by the beauty of nature and growth over time.

Her artworks are hand drawn and grow organically, changing and evolving as the piece progresses, much like the environment being captured. Primarily using traditional mediums of coloured pencil, her pieces are comprised in fine lines and intricate detail rendered in a palette of earthy tones.

Stacey has always had a strong passion for the arts, creating from a very young age. After she was selected to showcase her work on a national scale, she took up illustration professionally. She has since been featured in publications and exhibitions throughout Queensland and Victoria, with works privately collected across Australia, US, UK and Ireland.

Stacey has a bachelor degree in Graphic Design, combining her artistic and graphic skills. Pursing a career in design for the last decade she now runs her own creative studio Akasha Collective.

You will find her most days in the studio sipping tea, listening to Fleetwood Mac and surrounded by curious kittens. When she’s not creating she’s usually enjoying the outdoors, whether that’s at the beach with her puppy or forest walks. Always soaking up the natural world that surrounds her, her biggest source of inspiration.

Passionate about the environment and conservation, she donates a percentage of profits to charity. Supporting bee conservation and reforestation through her art prints.

Stacey aims to create a beautiful range of products in the form of greeting cards, handmade stationary, wrapping paper and archival fine art prints, that are available online and ships worldwide. She has always felt a strong connection to nature and hopes its beauty is reflective in her work.
